Hello everyone, welcome to Druhim Vanashta, Azhriaz' very own home page... Azhriaz is my 'persona' on the listserv Vampyres (visit The Institute for information on how to subscribe). This was my very first persona ever created for the net on May of '93 and it has become so much a part of me I even have 'my' name on my license plates (both vehicles :) and my real life friends call me Azh now, (prounounced 'oz').
One thing that I have a passion for is Corvairs This is a real life obsession that has carried over into my networld also. My net persona was driving around my dream car long before I was. In September of '96 I happened to find my real life Corvair, a 1963 convertible. For those of you who may be Corvair Virgins, there were two body styles made, the '60-64, (like mine), and the '65-'69 as seen with this 1965 convertible. They are really unique cars and loads of fun to drive. Unfortunately as luck would have it, one month after paying my corvair off, October 29, 1998, I totalled my 'vair. It is repairable, but more than what the insurance was willing to pay. I'm keeping it to eventually do the repairs on my own. Check out my davair page - a tribute to the two years I enjoyed my vair.Just a note, I'm still in the process of loading pages, if some of the links (ie. davair page) are not working, bare with me. I'm either recreating lost pages or trying to locate the elusive little puppies. :)
I'm putting together some links to 'fluff' that friends and I have written and posted over the last few years. The first batch up is the Mirror Fluff. Hopefully more will be put together soon but unfortunately real life has been intruding into my net life just a bit to much if you ask me. :)
I might as well announce 'serious' fluff project that is in the works. This one is co-authored with my friend Kalpurnia, (we've become the dynamic duo of the list :). This fluff is a different direction than what we've done in the past.... We'll actually be going into the past so to speak. Hopefully soon we'll begin posting what is quickly becoming a large notebook full of writing.

I have been doing a bit of scanning/rescanning, this infamous picture below is from the first *Bloodstock* (1994) after the Breakfast from Hell at Denny's.
Oh yeah, that's me down in front with the red hair and blue sunglasses trying desperately to look alive after 2 1/2 days of straight partying. *grin*
This next photo is from *Bloodstock '95* that was held in Indianapolis, Indiana in July. Another great time had by all! This one isn't a group photo but I think you'll understand why I wanted to include it here. It was taken during the Masquerade Ball where you have to dress up as your persona on list. The two people here are good friends of mine, Kalpurnia (in white) and Twilite (in blue *grin*), I'm the one on the right.
Just Added! Bloodstock '97 pictures. These are done on an index so as not to overload everyone's browser.
My second character that I created is Commander Adrianne Ragnar of the USS Dragonstar. This is a role playing game set of course, in the Star Trek universe. As this game has been on hold for some time, I've created another character, Lieutenant Rachel McLachlan of the USS Stargazer and lieutenant Lilias Uillean - Counselor for the Stargazer. This is a new crew mixed with the original about to embark on a new adventure, I'll keep you posted :)
Stargame has many other games playing besides the Dragonstar and Stargazer, you might want to check them out. Some have very cool home pages with actual pics generated of starbases and ships. Here are the address for the Dragonstar and Stargazer as well.
This is a Star Trek Links Site
And just for the hell of it: 'The Captain James T. Kirk Sing Along Page!' A must see page for all those other Shatner fans.
Now this as may come as a big surprise but I am probably more of an NFL fan than most men. A guy I used to go out with used to complain about my monday night football habits - If that isn't opposite the norm. But you see I was born and raised around Pittsburgh and we watched the '70s Steel curtain every weekend and yes--Terry Bradshaw is God!
I'm sure the noise level coming from the house when the family's together for a game scares the neighbors. It's family tradition, we start yelling, stomping, cheering and screaming during a Steelers game. Yes as you can well imagine, I about lost my voice screaming at O'Donnel during 'that' superbowl. *growl*
I do have other interests (besides Corvairs, the internet & the Steelers :), for instance I graduated in December of '96 with a double major in Art and Archaeology and I plan on going for grad school after a little time off from classes. It took me 10 years as a part time student to get the undergrad... I need a vacation! A great place to visit is the ArchNet Page for archaeology interests.
I was also lucky to join the Archaeological field school the summer of '96 through ISU. I was in Ireland from June 28, 1996 - July 24, 1996. We excavated in Gortoose, a pre-famine and famine-era village. To learn more about the potato famine click here.
I do have a lot of music interests, but I'll just keep this list down to some of my old and not so old favorites.
